Central Election Commission (CEC) held a seminar-meeting for the chairmen of district election commissions on Thursday. Chairmen of 125 district election commissions have attended the seminar, APA reports.
Mazahir Panahov, CEC chairman delivered speech on the tasks of elections commissions in the upcoming presidential elections. He said work condition and technical support of the election commissions were organized in the high level.
"There is nothing to prevent your work, you were provided with all conditions and you have more different responsibility. We have to organize our work appropriately to hold elections on the level we desire. The head of state also wanted the elections to be held normally".
Panahov said CEC leadership would give serious attention to every little problem of the district election commissions, even the orthographic mistakes in the voting lists. He urged to create equal opportunities for all sides during the election campaign. "A winner becomes before the elections in the present-day world. Today the president of the country has a high rating in Azerbaijan. We do not have to keep it a secret. Our duty is to provide appropriate processes. Those who violate law are against the democratic process".
Then CEC Secretary Natig Mammadov informed the participants of the seminar-meeting about the results of monitoring the secretariat conducted in the district election commissions.
