11 June 2008 [13:35] - Today.Az
"A meeting committee has been created in the party to take mass actions following ratification of the law "On Freedom of Assembly", said chairman of Muasir Musavat party Hafiz Hajiyev.
He said the party intend to hold mass actions where it will be alloted a place.
"For a political party power is the most important. I hope over 10,000 people will take part in our protest as we have a potential for it. Moreover, we do not intend to hold unsanctioned protest, as we do not want to take any steps against the state policy, thus undermining stability in the country.
No one should think that any powers may arrange state coup. The powers which state today that they are leading do not have a real power", said he.
Hafiz Hajiyev said a regular session of the party will be held on June 19 and currently all necessary works are carried out for its conduction.
Touching upon the issue of the site for conducting the session, he said the issue will be settled in the near future.
"The Ministry of Culture has alloted a site for us, yet it was not suitable for holding a session. The session is expected to be attended by about 300 delegates. Moreover, it will be attended by representatives of international organizations and political parties", noted he.
