An appeal on raising number of Azerbaijani peacekeepers in Afghanistan has been submitted to Milli Medjlis.
The number of peacekeepers, send by Azerbaijan to Afghanistan, may be raised to 100 people, reports Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister Araz Azimov.
He noted that the due appeal to the parliament of Azerbaijan has been sent by the Foreign Ministry.
He said the expansion of the peacekeeping contingent in Afghanistan will prove the importance Azerbaijan attaches to cooperation with NATO.
