The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan held a regular session yesterday.
Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for the party that the session participants discussed sociopolitical situation in the country before presidential elections as well as party's participation in them.
The session also considered the announcement of the OSCE special representative on freedom of media Miklos Haraszti.
The party members consider that the situation with human rights and rights of press has reached a critical level.
The party urges to take into account the amendments to the Electoral Code, proposed by the Venice commission and introduce due amendments in the near future.
The session participants discussed the pre-election situation in the country. The party decided to continue meetings in the regions.
