The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan held its regular session yesterday, Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for the party.

The session participants discussed a number of strategic issues. In particular, they considered Azerbaijan's adherence to commitments, undertaken before the Council of Europe during its accession. The party considers that our country does not execute the commitments completely, which causes serious damage to its image.

In this connection, the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan calls on the government to undertake a number of measures, including the release of political prisoners and journalists.

The debates were held regarding the Electoral Code and the party considers it necessary to arrange a dialogue with the authorities on this issue.
