The draft law "On internet providers" has been discussed at the session of the parliamentary commission on economic policy.

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for Milli Medjlis that the draft law has been submitted for discussion by initiative of MP Dunyamin Khalilov.

The author of the draft law stressed the necessity to regulate this sphere by a law and similar draft laws are being worked out in Russia and Kazakhstan.

It was noted that the draft law envisions activity of internet-providers, organization of providers' operation and suspension of such activity and others.

The draft law also envisions creation of the National Council of Providers.

The session of the commission was also attended by representatives of the Ministries of Communication and information Technologies and national security.

Considering the proposals it was decided to return the draft law for completion to the work group.
