Eight people died and 131 people were injured in clashes between police and opposition supporters that led the president to declare a sweeping, 20-day state of emergency, Armenian Interior Ministry reported quoting Health Ministry.
A police spokesman said eight people were killed and 33 police officers injured in the clashes.
Sona Truzyan, spokesperson for Armenian Prosecutor General’s Office said 15 people were arrested for clashes in Armenia.
They were accused of committing clashes and showing resistance to government representatives.
