"The fact that law-enforcement bodies of Iran dispersed the commemoration ceremony of Khojaly victims in the Nur Mosque, locating in the center of Teheran, is a shocking act.

The commemoration of innocent victims of the Khojaly genocide, your brethren, is a duty of each real Moslem.

Mosques, which are Houses of Allah, are not regulated by secular laws. Furthermore, the Khojaly genocide is well known in the world, like tragedies in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and other facts of massacres, which can not be justified.

Therefore, the actions of Iranian powers are beneath criticism", famous political scientist Rasim Agayev, commented on the challenges facing organizers of arrangements on the anniversary of Khojaly genocide in Iran.

He said Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry should express its attitude to the said fact. "At the same time, it should be confessed that this is not the first and not the only fact of a negative attitude of Iran towards Azerbaijan. Unfortunately, Iran seems unwilling to blame Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan, which resulted in occupation of 20% of our lands and in the genocide in Khojaly.

Moreover, Iran supports most actions of Armenia. It should be reminded that it was Iran which break the economic blockade regarding Armenia in the years of the Karabakh war, supplying Armenia with gas and goods.

Unfortunately, the necessity to hold a propaganda work to inform the Iranian community with origins, reasons and consequences of the Karabakh conflict is seldom recalled in Azerbaijan, though such work should be carried out every day", Agayev concluded.
