Parents of editor-in-chief of Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper Eynulla Fatullayev, kept in correctional ward No 12 met him, according to a source from the Institute for Reporter's Freedom and Safety.
Reporter's father Emin Fatullayev said Fatullayev feels good.
"He is not allowed to read opposition newspapers. He reads only progovernmental ones", E.Fatullayev.
Fatullayev's defender Isakhan Ashurov noted that this fact is considered a violation of a right for getting information.
It should be reminded that the Baku Appellate Court upheld the decision of the Court of Grave Crimes, passed against reporter Fatullayev.
The court sentenced Fatullayev to 8.5 imprisonment. He is charged under articles 214.1 (threat of terrorism), 283.2.2 (incitement of national, racial or religious animosity with abuse of powers) and 213.2.2. (tax evasion) of the Criminal Code.
