The leadership of the All-Russian Azerbaijanis Congress recommended the regional departments of the congress to take an active part at presidential elections in Russia.
It was decided that the Congress along with Yedinaya Rossiya party will support Dmitry Medvedev's candidacy at presidential elections.
The due information was provided by APA with reference to the All-Russian Azerbaijanis Congress.
It should be noted that an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Congress and the Yedinaya Rossiya party on November 3 of 2007. The Congress takes part in the joint events with the partyin the framework of the said document.
Events were held along with organizations of Azerbaijani diaspora in Sochu, Ulan-Ude, Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk and Tolyatti in support of D.Medvedev.
The regional departments were recommended to hold round tables on "Elections-2008"m inform our compatriots about Medvedev's election program and position of the Central Committee of the Congress.
It should be noted that the All-Russian Azerbaijanis Congress has regional departments in 73 regions of Russian Federation.
