The issue of Azerbaijan's European integration is hardly connected with the European integration of Turkey.
The due statement was made by famous politician Ilgar Mamedov, commenting on the current situation with Turkey's joining the European Union and its influence on Azerbaijan's integration into the EU.
He said the European integration of Azerbaijan can be considered in the pretext of the South Caucasus.
"Today, the prospects of the South Caucasus countries' accession to the European Union, are too weak. Azerbaijan will not join the European Union in the next 15 years, but striving for it will improve the quality of state regulation, restore regional integration in the South Caucasus and promote Azerbaijan's progress", he said.
