Court hearing on criminal case launched on ex-economic development minister Farhad Aliyev, Rafig Aliyev, former president of Azpetrol Group of Companies and 17 more defendants accused of corruption will start at Court of Grave Crimes on May 30.
The defendants face charges under articles 179.3.1, 179.3.2 (embezzlement), 192.2, 192.2 (illegal entrepreneurship), 213.4 (evasion of taxes), 308.2 (abuse of power), 311.3.1, 311.2, 311.3.3 (bribery), 313 (exceeding power). Farhad Aliyev faces charges under articles (Art. 179.3.1, 1179.3.2, 192.2.1, 192.22.2, 206.4, 213.4, 308.2, 311.3.1, 311.3.2, 311.3.3, 313) his brother Rafig Aliyev, former president of Azpetrol Group of Companies under (Art. 179.3.1, 179.3.2, 188, 192.2.1, 192.2.2, 206.3.1, 206.4, 213.4, 259 and 313). Ismayil Mesimov, Gedir Huseynov, Sakit Bakhoshov, former assistant of ferhad Aliyev Elshad Abasov, Mirmejid Ahmadov, Maarif Gurbanov, Chingiz Ibadov, Mirsalam Ahmadov, Mahammadnabi Rustemov, Rafig Aliyev, Alikhan Pashayev were arrested. Agaali Ahamadov, Rafig Abbasov, Agabey Huseynov, Elchin Nadirov, Sergey Borshevski, Yusif Hamidov, Adalat Dadashov are at bail. 1287 victims, about 700 witnesses and 164 civilians are related to the case. 347-volume criminal case consists of 93,724 pages.
