The President is expected to be accompanied by state and government officials. Azerbaijani President will have meetings with President Mahammad Husni Mubarak, Prime Minister Ahmad Azif, speaker of people’s assembly Ahmad Sethi Surur and discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest.

A number of bilateral documents on issues on education, youth and sport, agriculture, tourism, post, consulate are scheduled to be signed during the visit.

Ilham Aliyev will also participate in the opening of new building of Azerbaijani Embassy in Cairo, APA reports.

Azerbaijan and Egypt have signed over 15 different agreements, contracts and memorandum. These documents cover the spheres of culture, finance, economy, investment, health, pharmaceutics and other spheres.

Azerbaijani culture days were held in Egypt in 2005 and Egyptian culture days were held in Azerbaijan 2006.
