Azerbaijanis detained in Georgia prisons may be extradited in the near future, Georgia Justice Ministry told.
The Ministry said 40 prisoners' applications are now under consideration. It said official Baku has made such applications too, APA reports. "The negotiations are being held at the level of ombudsmen. The extradition opportunities for Georgians detained in Azerbaijani prisons are being looked through too."

The only problem regarding the extradition is legislation. For example: Azerbaijan criminal code punish with 15 year prison term for narcotic traffic in large scale. But Georgia sends for life term for the same crime. About 100 Azerbaijanis are detained in Georgian detention places.
