The OSCE Office in Baku organized a two-day (13-14 February) national roundtable "Armed Forces Welfare and the Democratic Society."

Mr.Seaword told reporters that the roundtable covered military practice, relations between military servants and civilians in OSCE member states, including the US, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Belgium, Netherlands as well as Azerbaijan. He stated that no document is expected to be adopted at the end of the event. "The conference aims to give developing Azerbaijan more information in this field and share the experience. The discussions are good platform to pass some decisions in the future. Each country has specific system, but we cannot say which one may be a model. Each country has political, economic, and military systems; some of them have developed much and some little. That's why exchange of cooperation and practice is of great importance," the deputy head said. Seaword noted that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will not be discussed in the roundtable. Relations between servicemen and the government will be on focus, APA reports.
