One more law on fighting against corruption will be adopted in Azerbaijan. Milli Majlis is going to discuss a draft law on Actions on terrorism financing and legalization of unlawful incomes at the spring session.

MM commission for law policy and state administration chief Ali Huseynov told APA that the name of the draft law was connected with problems not only at national level but also international level.

One of the most serious problems is that dirty money is laundered through the terrorism financing.

"This draft law will be discussed at the spring session according to the State Program on Fighting against Corruption. We are studying the practice of CIS countries. The officers of National Bank take an active part in this process. Azerbaijan is enjoying huge financial influx, so fight against corruption is getting more important. Control over the finance is becoming more necessary. It is necessary for a leader country in the region for economic development to strengthen fight against corruption," he said.

Ali Huseynov said that Code on ethical behavior of state servants ha been adopted at the first reading. It is prepared for the discussion at the second reading. He noted that people-to-officials relations are regulated in a new way now.

He said that the one issues regulating these relations is related to Administrative Processing Code.

"There should be Administrative Courts. But this, first of all, needs law base. Administrative Processing Code deals with this problem. This law will regulate the relations between people and officials," he said.

He stated that the next draft law to be discussed in the session was on Ensuring Rights and Freedom of suspected persons.

"This is one of important laws ensuring human rights. OSCE experts and state bodies have worked out the draft law within a year. We had studied practice of Great Britain," he said.

The commission chief said that Parliament had found out many shortcomings in the law on Private security activities.

"We removed the article allowing the use of weapon in private security service considering the rebukes of the MPs. I think, it was a right decision," he noted.
