Armenian general should be called to account for having fought against Azerbaijan in Karabakh.

"He does not deserve a monument on Akhalkalaki," Georgian MP, member of UN International Information Academy Pata Davitaya told journalists.

He said it is unacceptable to erect a statute for Karabakh war participants in Armenia.
"How can they possibly deserve a statue to such provokers and criminals? If there a statue, the problem will grow and spread to the world. The separatists should be made accountable. That is the main way of solution," Georgian parliamentarian said.

A monument will be erected for Armenian Gurgen Dalibalstyan, active participant of the battles against Azerbaijan in Karabakh in Akhalkalaki in the place for Georgians who became martyrs during 9 April, 1989 events in Tbilisi.

The fundament of the 8-meter monument for 80-year-old Armenian general, who is councilor of Armenian President for military issues, has been dug.

The general born in Akhalkalaki himself selected the place for his statue, APA reports.
