Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmoud Mammadguliyev, who was attending the first session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, will come back to Baku tonight.

The third secretary of Azerbaijani representative office at the UN section and at other international organizations, Seymour Mardaliyev told that the Deputy Minister had several bilateral talks in the frames of the visit.

Mr.Mammadguliyev met with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Ms. Louise Arbour. They discussed issues on cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Commission.

Ms.Arbour congratulated Azerbaijan on its membership to the Human Rights Council and expressed interest in intensifying further cooperation with Azerbaijan.

Mammadguliyev also had talks with several ambassadors accredited at the World Trade Organization in Geneva and, they discussed the WTO membership.

The Human Rights Councils' session will be closed June 30, ambassador Elchin Amirbayli will represent Azerbaijan in the event, APA reports.
