Azerbaijan government did not let Cyprus Republic Ambassador to Russia, Leonidas Pantelides to participate in 33rd session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers held in Baku.

Not any seat was reserved in the hotel for the Ambassador coming to Baku. The Ambassador had to stay in the streets of Baku and in the restaurants.

According to APA, official Ankara had information of Greek Cyprus to send a delegation to Azerbaijan. After that Turkish government asked Azerbaijan not to let Turkish delegation to participate in the conference.

After that official Baku having contacted with Cyrus official Pantelides informed him that for his not being accredited it will be impossible to reserve room in the hotel for him and provide his participation in the conference.

However, Azerbaijan government said that there is not any obstacle for his coming to Baku as a tourist. At the result, on June 19 the Ambassador coming to Baku could not participate in the conference.

Besides it, Cyprus republic has faced with analogical case in Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers held in Greece.
