Armenian President Vahagn Khachatryan has signed a law initiating the country’s EU accession process. Absurd? It’s absurd. So why be petty?

It seems he was so engrossed in signing papers that he didn’t even notice that, in Armenia, no one really asked him. Pashinyan once said that there was no way forward without a referendum, but who will listen to Pashinyan? Especially in Gyumri, where his party has already been sent to rest.

In general, Armenia is rushing toward Europe at full speed—however, in a car with square wheels and no steering wheel. But Khachatryan had fun—he signed the paper and felt like a great reformer.

Next, he’ll sign the law on joining NASA—who knows, maybe they’ll even send him into space, far away from Earth.
