Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad Nazim Ibrahimov has left for the United States of America to take part at the actions dedicated to centenary of the American Jewish Committee.

As AzerTAg reports, the conference connected to the anniversary of the said Committee will pass May 4 in Washington. The President of the United States, Prime Ministers of Germany, Austria, Israel, top officials of other states will attend the action.

In the frame of his visit, Mr. Ibrahimov will also meet with the Azeri Diaspora organizations in New York and Washington.

The Jewish and Azeri communities over the world, as well as in USA and Azerbaijan have close contacts, the Committee spokesman said. Participation of the Committee Chairman at the jubilee ceremonies is from the point of view of expansion of these relations, is of great import, and meets Azerbaijan's interests.
