There is no necessity to mark some individual day as the day of lands occupation, Bahar Muradova, Deputy Chairman of Milli Medjlis, stated.

As Trend reports, Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) addressed Milli Majlis and suggesting declaring May 8, Shusha seizure day, the Day of Occupation of Azerbaijan.

Already several years KLO has addressed the parliament on this matter.

Vice-speaker expressed her opinion on this idea, saying she, being the representative of a ground occupied by Armenians, is for establishing and marking the day of liberation of our lands. Official celebration of Occupied Territories Day may be regarded as giving in our lands.

"There are individual days of occupation of each area in the calendar, including Khojali day. We should not allocate one day for it. Each day should remind us of our occupied lands. Therefore I consider unnecessary to mark one day on occasion of all territories occupation," Vice-speaker said.
