The 220th session of the UNESCO Executive Board has begun its work. As expected, the Armenian side tried to use the event to spread its narratives. Armenia's Permanent Representative to UNESCO, Aram Hakobyan, in his speech accused Azerbaijan of allegedly destroying the "Armenian cultural heritage" in Karabakh. He also called on the UNESCO mission to visit the liberated territories of Azerbaijan to confirm all this.

I wonder when the neighbors will get tired of just shaking the air? They have been talking about the alleged destruction of their non-existent heritage on Azerbaijani lands for four years, and the result is zero. After the anti-terrorist operation in September 2023, complaints and tears became especially violent, but this also does not help. Not because UNESCO officials don't want to, but because they can't. Besides, the first signs are already appearing that everyone is tired of Armenian whining. No one wants to make sudden moves against Azerbaijan and be distracted by the fantasies of the Armenians. This is happening in the world, and they're here with their own snot... What the hell is the "legacy"?

Why does Armenia participate in the work of international organizations in general? The speeches of its representatives are never dedicated to Armenia, they are always dedicated to Azerbaijan. Nikol Pashinyan devoted his entire speech to us at the CIS summit, without saying a word about his own country and the main topic of the meeting, for which they still laugh at him. Yerevan's representative to UNESCO also had nothing to say about Armenia. This country is an empty place, it has neither a past nor a future, it only clings to illusions. How a representative of a normal state should sound on the UNESCO platform can be judged by the statements of the representative of Azerbaijan. Our permanent representative Elman Abdullayev spoke about Baku's cooperation with the organization, the traditions of multiculturalism, the cultural heritage of the peoples of Africa and other important things. There are no complaints, no pointing fingers at Armenia, although there is a lot to talk about on the international platform.

Armenia expects something from UNESCO, trying not to take into account that this organization once specifically stated in response to a similar request from the Azerbaijani side that it does not interfere in politics. But in vain. If UNESCO wants to forget about it, the Azerbaijani side will not allow it. If the organization for the protection of cultural heritage is not interested in the destruction of the Azerbaijani heritage by Armenians, it has closed itself the opportunity to freely show interest in the complaints of the Armenian side. Whenever UNESCO raises the issue of a mission to the liberated territories in response to Armenia's complaints, Azerbaijan rightly recalls the thirty years of ignoring its requests and invites the organization to correct that mistake. It is hard to forget how in November last year the UNESCO mission refused to stop by on the way to Khankendi in Aghdam and record the destruction there. The mission was only interested in the "Armenian heritage", and the ruins of the whole city did not touch it. Therefore, the monitoring did not take place. And before that, Baku agreed to monitoring on the condition that the same one will be held in Armenia, where UNESCO experts will try to find traces of the Azerbaijani heritage destroyed by the Armenians. Of course, Armenia refused.
Therefore, the Permanent Representative of Armenia tortured the microphone in vain. He can call for monitoring on Azerbaijani lands as much as he wants, but monitoring is not rain and shamanic techniques will not help here. The way to Khankendi for any international monitoring missions is through monitoring the Azerbaijani heritage destroyed by the Armenians. This is a given that no one can get around. First, the mission will have to record and document the consequences of Armenian vandalism. This is a huge and long work, and UNESCO will need to organize more than one mission to implement it. It will take many months to see and document everything created by the aggressor. And then, when all this work is done, so be it, the Azerbaijani side will allow the organization's experts to take a look at "papik and tatik". Why on them? Because this is all that can be called the Armenian heritage in Karabakh and not to be mistaken.
