01 March 2006 [11:35] - Today.Az
Karabakh Liberation Organization chief Akif Nagi appealed to Iranian Ambassador and later issued statement against pressure of Georgian state structures.

This action was related to Iranian police pressure on the Azerbaijani demonstrators who protested the Khojali genocide in Iran, APA reports.

The appeal requested the Iranian Ambassador to explain happenings and release the detained protesters.

"Iranian government delighted Armenia and enemies of Islam. We believe that Iran will make this issue clear and inform the Azerbaijani community about it."

Yesterday the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) issued a statement condemning the pressure put on Georgian Azerbaijanis by the state structures of this country.

The appeal demands the Georgian government to end this shameful policy.

"By such attitude, the Georgian authorities aim to remove Azerbaijanis from the country. These steps cause damage to Georgia-Azerbaijan relations. If Georgian does not renounce this position, there will be no need to preserve friendly relations for the sake of formality. The KLO will do its best to break these relations."
