According to the KLO Ambassador Rolan Blatman in his response stated that the persons occupying positions by the way of elections are not subordinate to the state in his country.

"In this context, the statements made by the mayor of that city can neither influence nor change the position of France in terms of Karabakh conflict. France recognizes and supports the principle of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and does not recognize the independence of "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic". In addition, France takes an active part in searching the solution of the conflict by peaceful way," stated French ambassador.

KLO stated in its letter forwarded to the Embassy that it considers ambassador to be insincere when he states that "the persons occupying positions by the way of elections are not subordinate to the state in France".
