Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Tartar and Barda regions on October 3, Azertag has reported.

The head of state laid flowers at a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of Tartar city.

Aliyev inaugurated the highways leading to Sugovushan settlement and Tartar region's Talish village.

He laid a foundation stone for the Talish-Tapgaragoyunlu-Gashalti-Naftalan highway.

The head of state raised the Azerbaijani flag in Talish village and Sugovushan settlement of Tartar region. He visited the Albanian-Udi and orthodox churches destroyed by the Armenians in Talish village.

The president inaugurated the renovated “Sugovushan-1” and “Sugovushan-2” small hydropower plants.

He inspected the house of Sahib Ismayilov, a Tartar city resident, destroyed as a result of the Smerch missile strike by the Armenian armed forces during the Patriotic War, and viewed conditions created in the new house built instead of it.

In the region's center, President Aliyev inspected projectiles from various types of volley fire systems and from artillery installations fired by the Armenian armed forces at Tartar region.

The head of state arrived in Barda region. President Aliyev laid flowers at a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the city of Barda.

He attended the opening of Barda Vocational Lyceum.
