"I have never supported Ali Insanov as a leader of Western Azerbaijanis, and do not see him as the leader now," proclaimed the Minister of Education Misir Mardanov.

Mardanov also insisted that no regionalism has ever been existing in the ministry and also underlined that information on inspections conducted in his house by law-enforcement organs in connection with the recent events is false.
