Kyrgyzstan supports the steps taken by Azerbaijan for removal of the isolation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus”, said Arslan Maleyev, the head of the Kyrgyz parliamentary delegation currently visiting Girna city of the Northern Cyprus.
Maleyev noted that there should not be obstacles between the nations of the northern Cyprus and Kyrgyzstan. During the meeting with the speaker of the Northern Cyprus parliament, Fatma Ekenoglu and Foreign Minister Sardar Denktash, the head of Kyrgyz deligation voiced his confidence that the efforts taken by Turkey, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will soon result in the abolishment of the isolation of Northern Cyprus. On the other hand the speaker of the TRNC’s parliament, Ekenoglu, announced that an active work is being done for expansion of relationships between Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Kyrgyzstan. At the end of the meeting the sides signed a protocol on friendship and cooperation, which envisages development of relationships in the sphere of trade and tourism.
