The National Democrat Party of Azerbaijan, Citizen Solidarity Party, Liberal Democrat Party of Azerbaijan, Progress Party, Independent Azerbaijan Party, Great Creation Party, Patriots Party and the “Builders of Civil Society” election bloc held a rally in the “Galaba” square last week.
The deputy-chairman of the National Democrat Party of Azerbaijan (NDPA) Shamsaddin Rahimli opened the rally.
He said it is already known that the parliamentary elections will be falsified. Shamsaddin Rahimli called on the nation to gather in the squares for earning the democracy. The chairman of the Liberal Democrat Party of Azerbaijan (LDPA) Valeh Ibadov called on the nation to struggle for the democracy.
He said that he is sure they will win the parliamentary elections. The chairman of the Citizen Solidarity Party (CSP) Sabir Rustamkhanli said that in order to express objection the will is important, but not the number. He reprobated the society for displaying indifference to the questions regarding to Garabagh.
The CSP chairman informed that the Garabagh question is not under the monopoly of any organization. S.Rustamkhanli expressed his regret on GFO’s refusing participating in the rally at the last moment. He informed that the international organizations and foreign countries pursue policy of double standards in connection with Azerbaijan: “All three countries included in the OSCE Minsk Group render thorough aid to Armenia, but they are engaged in creating political tension within Azerbaijan”.
S.Rustamkhanli said that the nation will seize the power by means of the elections: “Power’s being seized by the politicians who have commitments before the foreign countries can result dangerously for the nation. The nation should not allow the parties instructed from abroad to take the power”.
The chairman of the Great Creation Party (GCP) Fazail Gazanfaroghlu said that the democracy passes though the Garabagh problem. He informed that the parties wishing to seize the power undertook commitments before the foreign countries for forcing the nation to forget the Garabagh question. F.Gazanfaroghlu noted importance of nation’s gathering in the squares for preventing these questions.
The NDPA chairman Isgandar Hamidov said that the constitutional rights of the nation are rudely violated. He said that the preparation process for capitulator peace in connection with Garabagh is carried out in the pre-election period and called on the nation to struggle for creating the democratic circumstances on the eve of the elections. The resolution of the action was read at the end of the rally. It is informed in the resolution that in case if these demands are not satisfied, it will be decided to start serious and permanent protest actions.
