The second legal hearing on lawsuit on Pochtbank stock-commercial bank, which was filed by FIM Bank of Malta, was held in Rotterdam on 2 February.

FIM Bank which filed a suit on non-repayment of loan, given under the guarantee of Communications Ministry and Pochtbank.

Bakhtiyar Mammadov, the head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Communications and Technologies, represented Azerbaijan in the legal proceedings.

According to Mammadov, the hearings considered documents submitted by Azerbaijan, which assert the enterprises borrowing loans did it was revealed that the enterprises receiving bank loan did not undergone necessary registration at the Ministry of Justice and the signatures in the documents did not belong to ex-Minister Nadir Ahmadov.

In accordance with the court verdict, within 6 weeks FIM Bank is committed to present documents refuting the facts submitted by Azerbaijan. Otherwise, the court might issue a sentence in favor of a defendant, on accordance with the legislation of the Netherlands.

Ali Abbasov, the Minister for Communications and Information Technologies, voiced his hope that the documents submitted contain enough facts to refute the suit filed on Azerbaijan.
