General Petr Pavel, chairman of the NATO Military Committee and General Valery Gerasimov, chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and first deputy minister of defense, will meet today, on September 7 in Baku, says a NATO message posted on its website.

This meeting is a follow-on from a phone call between the two generals which took place on March 3, 2017, says the message.
