The earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale occurred 22 kilometers to the north-east of Gabala city at 06:38 on September 29, the Republican Seismological Service Center of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) reported Monday.

The earthquake epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The earthquake was felt.

Gabala city is situated in 220 km from Baku on the north of Azerbaijan.
