The events dedicated to the anniversaries of genius Azerbaijani masters of the word - 870th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi and 900th anniversary of Mehseti Ganjavi will be held in Paris and several cities of France with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the foundation told.
An exhibition devoted to Nizami Ganjavi will be opened on November 12 in cooperation with the 7th arrondissement and the Museum of Letters and Manuscripts of Paris.
At the exhibition, Parisians and city's quests will be able to see archaeological finds referring to Nizami Ganjavi's life and activity, namely, coins of Shirvanshakh and Atabay period, samples of jewelry, household items, reproductions of miniatures created by Azerbaijani artists in the Middle Ages, crockery, painted miniatures, as well as carpets and batik, created on the basis of plots of poems included in "Khamsa".
The exhibition will also showcase photos taken in Ganja in late XIX - early XX centuries, the layout of the mausoleum of the poet-philosopher in Ganja, photos of monuments erected in Baku, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Rome, Cheboksary and Beijing, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's publications about Nizami Ganjavi's creativity.
A concert program of songs created based on Nizami Ganjavi's poems will be presented at the Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Paris on November 13. The cultural events are also planned to be held in Strasbourg on November 19.
The exhibitions and concerts will be organized in the French cities of Reims and Mulhouse in late November and December according to the UNESCO decision and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation within the 900th anniversary of Mehseti Ganjavi at the world level.
The events dedicated to Mehseti Ganjavi's creativity, included in the history as the first Azerbaijani poetess, allow viewers to familiarize with this talented poetess's poetry attracting attention for its philosophical essence.
