Following their talk in private, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic Enrico Letta have been joined by their countries` delegations for an expanded meeting.
The Azerbaijani President and the Italian Premier signed a Joint Declaration during Enrico Letta`s visit.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic Enrico Letta have met behind closed doors as the Italian Premier embarked on an official visit to Baku.
They praised Azerbaijan-Italy relations in a number of fields, including political, economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian ones. They pointed out that there were good opportunities for expanding these relations.
They stressed the importance of the Italian Prime Minister`s visit in terms of strengthening the bilateral cooperation.
The Azerbaijani President and the Italian Premier also discussed regional and international issues.

President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic Enrico Letta has today been given an official welcome to Azerbaijan.
A ceremonial Guard of Honor was lined up for the Italian Premier at the square decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev welcomed President of the Italian Council of Ministers Enrico Letta.
The Azerbaijani President and the Italian Prime Minister inspected the Guard of Honor as an orchestra played the national anthems of their countries.
The Italian Prime Minister greeted Azerbaijani soldiers.
Azerbaijani state and government officials were introduced to Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta, while members of the Italian delegation to President Ilham Aliyev.
The Azerbaijani President and the Italian Prime Minister posed together for photographs.
