Azerbaijan`s justice minister Fikrat Mammadov has met Iranian ambassador Mohsun Pakayin.
The minister said relationship between Azerbaijan and Iran had deep roots. He stressed the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in development of bilateral cooperation. Mammadov noted President Ilham Aliyev attaches special importance to Azerbaijan-Iran relations. The minister added reciprocal visits of presidents contribute to deepening mutual activity.
During the meetingç Mammadov also spoke of judicial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran.
For his part, ambassador Pakayin underlined national leader Heydar Aliyev`s contributions to development of Azerbaijan-Iran relations. The diplomat noted his country puts special emphasis on boosting cooperation with Azerbaijan. Pakayin also pointed out during his tenure he would spare no efforts to expansion of judicial cooperation between the two countries.
