President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received the country`s space program adviser, academician Roald Sagdeyev.
The Head of State said Roald Sagdeyev had been honored with “Dostlug” order, Azerbaijan`s high state award, for his contributions to strengthening the country`s international scientific relations. President Ilham Aliyev presented the Order to the academician.
Roald Sagdeyev thanked the President for awarding him with Azerbaijan`s high award.
During the meeting, they discussed issues related to putting Azerbaijan`s first satellite into orbit. They also exchanged views on prospects for developing space program in Azerbaijan.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Robert Dadly, BP Chief Executive Officer.
They praised the cooperation between Azerbaijan and BP.
They pointed out to fruitful results of joint projects to exploit deposits in Azerbaijan, including Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shahdeniz fields. The Azerbaijani President and the BP CEO explored prospects for the bilateral cooperation.
