Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Egypt with concurrent accreditation to Sudan Shahin Abdullayev has met with speaker of the Sudanese parliament Ahmad Ibrahim Al-Tahir. Al-Tahir praised bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sudan within international organizations, including the UN and Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The speaker said Sudan had always supported Azerbaijan`s fair position on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Abdullayev briefed the Sudanese speaker on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and its grave consequences.
The diplomat stressed the importance of establishment of working groups between the two countries` parliaments and organization of reciprocal visits.
