Azerbaijani deputies including Elmira Akhundova and Fuad Musayev have participated in the International Forum on the themes “The First Nazarbayev’s Readings” and “New Kazakhstan in a New World” held at the Nazarbayev University in Astana.
The Forum was held in anticipation of the Day of the First President on December 1, 2012 and was intended to show through the prism of the expert and political analysis the role of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the history and development of independent Kazakhstan, and also to consider prospects for further development of the country.
Impressive success of the “Kazakhstan’s way” of development over the years of its independence has become possible thanks to the strategic vision and outstanding leadership of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev, which today is the subject of substantive researches throughout the world.
The highlight of First President's Day, which marks the anniversary of Nazarbayev's first election in 1991, was a carefully choreographed pageant by some 30,000 performers in the arena, including mass singing and banner-waving.
Members of Parliament, government officials, prominent public and political figures, representatives of culture, art, education sector, and the media from 51 countries attended the event. Organizers of the forum were Kazakhstan Ministry of Education and Science and the Nazarbayev Centre.
