Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Azerbaijan Arjen Peter Uijterlinde has visited Lankaran, a southern district in Azerbaijan.
The ambassador met management of the district`s Executive Authorities, who informed him of Lankaran`s history, socio-economic, cultural life and tourism potential. They focused on relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands.
Peter Uijterlinde said the Netherlands was interested in close cooperation with Azerbaijan`s separate districts, including Lankaran. The ambassador stressed the importance of expanding the two countries` relations in business and cultural fields.
The sides have exchanged views on the establishment of a flower growing plant in Lankaran.
The ambassador`s itinerary also saw him visit a number of must-see places, including Heydar Aliyev Center, Flag Square, and Park of Hazi Aslanov.
