Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries have explored ways of expanding cooperation as member of Center for Strategic Studies of Azerbaijan Azad Garibov has visited Tajikistan.
Garibov, as part of the visit, has met Deputy Director of Centre for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan Khudoberdi Kholiqnazarov, Chairman of CIS countries department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Nazimat Aliyev, Chairman of Tajikistan Politicians Association Abdulgani Mammadazimov, representative of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung foundation in Tajikistan Rustam Haydarov.
They discussed ongoing political processes in Central Asia, as well as regional cooperation and integration issues, investment potential of the region, mutual interests of Azerbaijan with regional countries, possible steps in the direction of developing of bilateral relations.
Mr. Garibov`s itinerary also includes a visit to Uzbekistan.
