Azerbaijan`s Defense Minister, colonel-general Safar Abiyev has met Lithuanian Parliament Speaker Irena Degutiene and Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius as part of his visit to the country.
During the meetings, they discussed prospects for developing the relations between the two countries, and military cooperation issues.
Abiyev briefed the Lithuanian Parliament Speaker and the Prime Minister on military-political situation in the region, as well as Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Degutiene said Lithuania recognized territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The Defence Minister was accompanied by Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Lithuania Hasan Mammadzade. Abiyev also visited an energy security centre of Lithuani`s Ministry of National Defence.
