Bruno, a boxer dog that looks like Phantom of the Opera, has turned heads with his striking resemblance to the Andrew Lloyd Webber theatre villain.
The abandoned three-year-old found a new home after his adopted owners noticed his uncanny resemblance to The Phantom Of The Opera.
Tony and Christine Armstrong took Bruno home after seeing the unusual white markings across half of his face.
The pattern bears an uncanny resemblance to the mask worn by the disfigured title character in the famous tale brought to the West End stage by Lord Lloyd-Webber.
Mr Armstrong, from Royston, Hertfordshire, said his pet’s markings had drawn comments.
‘My wife and I have always liked the music from the Phantom Of The Opera,’ the 72-year-old said.
‘As soon as we saw Bruno, we knew we wanted him.
'He went straight up to my wife and licked her hand and she fell for him.
'Several friends have already noticed that he looks like The Phantom of the Opera and people have commented on his unusual face when we walk him along the street.'
Bruno was rescued by the Home Counties Boxer Welfare charity.
