The fifth "Mirror of reality" exhibition dedicated to support and adaptation of disabled children to normal life has opened in Baku.
"We want to show that our children are the same as everyone else,” organizer of the exhibition, head of the "Independent Life" Center Aydin Khalilov said.
“They may have physical or mental problems, but they also want to learn, like to play and dream,” he added.
"We do not treat, but help these children adapt to life, even teach how to hold a spoon, put on clothes and search a job. They need to live a full life, like all people," Khalilov said.
The exhibition was co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Azerbaijani Alliance to Support Children's Rights. The event was timed to the International Day for the protection of rights of persons with disabilities.
