29 September 2011 [19:00] - Today.Az
The Danish broadcaster DR reports that no less than 678 songs were submitted. A committee will now listen to the songs and will choose the lucky ones to participate in the show on January 21st.
Among the submissions, there are some familiar names: Ivar Lind Greiner (composer of Danish entry in 2004), Kim Schwartz (DMGP 2006, 2007) and Niels Brinck, who represented Denmark in ESC 2009.
A committee will choose six or seven songs out of the submissions, and DR will invite established composers as another three or four wildcard, making a total of ten songs to participate in the show, which will be held in Aalborg on January 21st.
The last two years were very successful for Denmark, reaching the 4th place in 2010 with In a moment like this by Chanée & N'Evergreen, and the 5th place in 2011 with New tomorrow by A Friend In London.
