A documentary "Wonderful Losers: A Different World" will be screened at Nizami Cinema Center on October 9.

The film director Ar?nas Matelis will attend the event. The event starts at 18:00

The project is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Azerbaijan Union of Cinematographers.

"Wonderful Losers: A Different World " (2017) is a Lithuanian documentary film directed by Ar?nas Matelis about the Giro d'Italia, an annual multiple-stage bicycle race primarily held in Italy.

It was selected as the Lithuanian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st  Academy Awards.

For most of us, those cyclists running at the back of the race are simply the losers. They are called water carriers, domestics, gregarious, who sacrifice their careers and personal victories, so their team leaders can win the race.

Arunas Matelis followed these Sancho Panzas of professional cycling for 7 years during the prestigious Giro d’Italia and reveals the unseen world of these wonderful losers of professional cycling from the point of view of the doctors’ team.
