The exposition continues a series of exhibitions "Reincarnation", which previously took place in the Azerbaijan National Art Museum and  the National Museum of History .

An exhibition devoted to modern vision of the Old City's baths will be also held as part of the event.

The exhibition will take place  on December 9 in Gasim-bay bathhouse located at the address V. Mammadov, street 4.

The bathhouse was constructed in 17th century near the Salyan door (gate). The bathhouse is  often called "Shirin" (Sweet) Bathhouse because the tea here was given together with sweets.

It consists of a vestibule part, dressing and washing premises as well as the treasure and fire chambers. The dressing and washing premises have crossing domes and cameras in corners. Water supply and the heating system was implemented through the angle pipelines inside the walls and under the floor. The restoration works in the bathhouse were done in the late 1970s and it was turned into "green pharmacy".

With its majestic buildings and ruins, Icherisheher hides a centuries-old history.

The city, built on a high hill in the form of an amphitheatre, is exposed to the sea in the lower part, and is surrounded by the Caucasus mountains in the upper part. With its triple row of fortress walls, the Maiden Tower and other fortification facilities, Icherisheher appeared to be an impressive stronghold.

With its defensive fortresses, Icherisheher is a symbol of patriotism and a great source of national pride and dignity.

All the buildings within the fortress walls of the Old City were of a defensive nature in terms of their tactical and strategic functions.

Large squares and wide streets gradually narrowed and shrank into a geometric design fascinate Baku residents and city's guests.

Numerous unique monuments, including  the Shirvanshakh Palace complex, mosques and minarets, the ruins of caravanserais and bathhouses make this place one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.

Old City became the first location in Azerbaijan   to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

In 2000, the Old City of Baku, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
