The Azerbaijani National Art Museum and Kazakh Museum of Fine Arts have signed an agreement on cooperation.

The document was signed by the director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Arts, honored art worker, Chingiz Farzaliyev and the director of Kazakh Museum of Fine Arts Ainabek Ospanov.

Chingiz Farzaliyev expressed satisfaction with the expansion of relations and effective cooperation between the museums. He stressed that the following agreement aims at the further development of cooperation between the two cultural institutions, Trend Life reported. 

Ainabek Ospanov said that the agreement will contribute to the further development of cooperation  and  exchange of experience between two museums.

Within the framework of the agreement, mutual scientific research, restoration and conservation activity, exchange of experience between museum workers, preparation of joint exhibitions will be organized.

At the same time, the agreement promotes the  Kazakh culture in Azerbaijan and vise versa.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan National Art Museum and the Kazakh Museum of Fine Arts.

National Art Museum is one of the largest and oldest art museums in the country. This museum was established in 1936, and today is located in two classical buildings dating back to the 19th century.

Art lovers can find here not only Azerbaijani art, but also works of art from Western Europe, Russia, and the East.

About 17,000 items are kept in storage, and expositions are changed from time to time, so that more of the works can be displayed.

There is also a section for ancient Azerbaijani art with ceramics and metalwork, utensils, miniatures, needlework, national clothing and jewelry, as well as carpets, belts and daggers traditionally decorated with precious and semi-precious stones.

The museum also provides excursions, so you will not get lost here.
