Azerbaijani films "The Red Garden" and "Intent" will be screened at One World 2017 Embassies Festival to be held in Bucharest, Romania, on September 7- 10.

The festival features four days of spectacles, exhibitions, cinema and multicultural experiences in the heart of Bucharest.

Ethnographic art exhibitions and conferences, Cinema PRO, where artistic movies and recent documentaries from more than 15 countries will be screened awaits guests of the festival. Visitors will also enjoy music performances and dances from all over the world, presentation stands of the participating embassies, ceremonies, multicultural workshops and the tasting of culinary dishes.

"Red Garden" movie tells the story of a provincial teacher from blue blood, Abbas. ? desperate desire of having his own son makes him so indifferent to orphan in his custody and even to deadlock situation of his beloved spouse Vafa. But everything changes, when he himself causes Vafa’s death. Now in another world Abbas is craving to have back all the things that he couldn’t protect in this world…

Earlier, the movie by Azerbaijani filmmaker Mirbala Salimli picked up the prizes at Trabzon International Film Festival (TUFFEST) in Turkey.

The feature film was screened at Kazakhstan’s 12th Eurasia, Germany’s 65th Mannheim-Heidelberg, Egypt’s 38th Cairo, Turkey’s 5th “Van Lake” and Bulgaria’s 9th “Sofia MENAR” international film festivals.

The cast includes Magsud Mammadov, Gulzar Gurbanova, and Taleh Badiyev. A film was co-produced by AzerbaijanFilm Company and White Media, (Russia)

"Intent" movie is directed by Samir Karimov.

The main hero of the film wants to make a pilgrimage, but dies from a serious illness in the airplane upon arrival in Mecca.

In 2010, the film received special prize of the 6th International festival of Muslim cinema "Golden Minbar" in the nomination "For outstanding contribution to the development of Muslim cinema."

Scriptwriter is Yavar Rzayev, art director - Rustam Ibragimbekov. The cast includes actors Fuad Akhundov, Rovshan Mammadov, Minavar Aliyeva , Naida Aliyeva.
