The Heydar Aliyev Center, a massive cultural complex with futuristic design envisioned to host conferences, exhibitions and installations, organizes art events each Sunday.

Residents and guests of Baku will be able to witness a magnificent parade of retro cars and kite fest this Sunday – August 26.

The fantastic collection of classic cars manufactured before 1980 will be a real summer gift to classic car enthusiasts.

Car admirers will be able to view over 100 vehicles, which will participate in the parade and later exhibited at the Center area.  The parade to start at 16:00 local time is free to the public.

The parade will begin from the Heydar Aliyev Center and run along Koroglu Rahimov Street - Fatali Khan Khoyski Street - Vagif Avenue - Samad Vurgun Street - Anvar Gasimzade Street - Abbasqulu Aga Bakikhanov Street - ?n?aatç?lar avenue - Academic Lev Landau Street - Hussein Javid Avenue - Parliament Avenue - Mehdi Hussein Street - Teymur Elchin street - Mikhail Lermontov street - Niyazi street - Azneft square - Neftchilar avenue - Yusif Safarov street - Heydar Aliyev avenue - Heydar Aliyev.

In 2016, the parade was timed to an exhibition of American artist Shane Guffogg, who took part in the parade. The parade ended in front of Baku Museum Center, which hosted the exhibition.

The Heydar Aliyev Center will also amaze its guests with kite festival, games for children, and a concert program.

The "Dance of Wind" International Kite Festival will be organized this Sunday for the first time in Baku. Some 10 artists from Azerbaijan, Latvia, Mongolia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Denmark and Finland will take part in the project.

As many as 50 kites of different shapes colored by brush masters will decorate the sky of Baku and create a colorful palette for the audience to have an unforgettable impression.

Children will fly about 200 kites to the sky during the festival, which will start at 18.00 local time.

The day will end with a concert of pop starts Roya and Miryusif.
