The 9th International Gabala Music Festival is underway in Azerbaijan's beautiful city of Gabala.

The large-scale musical event being held at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center is a project of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

British Chamber Orchestra "FeMusa" has performed at International Music Festival, Azertac reported.

Founded in 2008, FeMusa is a professional chamber orchestra of talented female international musicians, the first of its kind in Britain since the 1950's. 

Britain's first female chamber orchestra performed in London, Oman, Paris and Azerbaijan and were privileged to have been invited in 2012 to play on Omani Women’s Day in the Royal Opera House in Muscat.

In Gabala, British musicians performed works by A.Vivaldi, E.Elgar, P.Worlok, P.Levis, E.Blog, K.Jenkins, F.Amirov and G.Garaev  on the stage. Their performance was met with great interest.

The Gabala International Music Festival is an annual open-air festival of classical music held every summer beginning from 2009 in Gabala, Azerbaijan.

Famous musicians from different countries, world-known symphonic and philharmonic orchestras will perform at the festival, which will close on August 3.
